Location: The Meeting Place, located in downtown Waxhaw at
209 W. South Main Street
Cost: $20 registration fee (payable now, see link below) + $150 (due before the first group meeting)
Minimum # of participants: 6
Maximum # of participants: 12

At Skills for Independence PLLC, our mission is to provide individuals with the opportunity to learn and practice strategies to enable them to function as effectively and independently as possible in their community and the world.

We utilize a variety of fun, functional, developmentally-appropriate activities (such as games, demonstrations, discussions, role playing) within our groups , and we draw from a variety of evidence-based programs and educational approaches, such as PEERS for Young Adults and the 360 Thinking Program.
Our owner and group moderator/coach, Alicia Stufoso, is a PEERS-certified, licensed occupational therapist who has over 20 years of experience and a particular interest in the development of functional life skills.
We are already coordinating our next groups. In order to best meet the needs of our community, we ask you to HELP US plan our group offerings by completing this survey. Be sure to sign-up for our mailing list to receive the most current information regarding our programs. Thank you!
Registrations fees must be paid in order to hold your spot in a group.
Registration fees are non-refundable/non-transferable (EXCEPT in the event that the registration fee is received after the group is full, at which point the registration fee will be refunded).
A separate registration fee is required for each group.
After the registration form is completed/submitted and the registration fee is paid, an invoice for the remaining balance (course fee) will be emailed to you. The balance is due prior to the first meeting of the group.
All fees are private pay only and will not be billed through insurance.
Sessions missed due to participant absence will not be refunded or made-up.
